We calculated Sightsavers’s impact based on impact calculations made by Charity Navigator, we have found that $50 cures one person of blindness.
We have also found that:
- By helping someone’s eyesight, you are increasing their chances of participating in the workforce by over 40% and making on average $10,000 more.
- Through giving someone a better vision, you are decreasing their chances of developing depression due to feeling lonely or isolated by 2-3 times.
